Sejak lulus dari sekola MULO di Medan, Sutan Syahrir atau Bung Syahrir hijrah ke Bandung melanjutkan sekolah SMA di AMS yakni Aglemen Middlebare School. Meski relatif singkat berproses di Bandung hanya 3 tahun (1926-1929) namun proses di Bandung justru yang membentuk dirinya sebagai sosok yang matang.
